Personal Coaching

Individual language sessions built around your specific situation. Your goals, your schedule, your pace.

A programme built around you

Individual coaching is different from group learning. There is no fixed curriculum that every student follows. Instead, the content of each session responds to your current level, your progress since the last session and what you need to be able to do in the language.

Sessions are 50 minutes. You can schedule them weekly, twice a week or at whatever frequency fits your life. The instructor tracks your development between sessions so each lesson builds on the previous one.

From first contact to first lesson

1

Initial conversation

We start with a short conversation about your background, goals and schedule. This takes about 20 minutes and helps establish what kind of programme makes sense for you.

2

Level assessment

A brief placement exercise in your chosen language gives us a clear picture of your current level. This is conversational and informal, not a formal test.

3

Programme outline

Based on your goals and level, we put together a proposed programme structure. You review it, ask questions and adjust it before anything is confirmed.

4

First session

Your first lesson focuses on establishing a working rhythm and covering the areas you identified as most important. From there, each session builds naturally on the previous one.

Areas individual coaching addresses

Coaching sessions can focus on any combination of skills depending on what you need.

Pronunciation and accent

Targeted work on sounds that are difficult for speakers of your native language. Dutch vowels, Spanish rolled r, English vowel distinctions.

Writing and correspondence

Emails, reports, formal letters and informal messages. Review and correction of your actual writing with explanation of what to change and why.

Grammar problem areas

Focused work on the grammar points that specifically hold you back. Not a full grammar course, but targeted practice on what you actually need.

Professional preparation

Job interviews, presentations, client meetings. Practice runs with feedback to help you feel prepared for specific professional situations.
